Hi!

I’ve been trying to use the Bulk Send feature in DocuSign, but I’m running into issues.

What I’ve done so far:

  • Created a template and ensured my Data Labels match the field names exactly.

  • Prepared a CSV file trying to follow DocuSign’s formatting guidelines.

  • Tried uploading the CSV for Bulk Send.

The problems I’m seeing:

  • Sometimes I get an error message telling me to “use Bulk Send Version 2.”

  • Other times I just get a generic error.

What I need help with:

  1. Confirming that Bulk Send is fully enabled on my account.

  2. Understanding the exact way to format the CSV for custom field mapping.

  3. Clarifying any required settings for role names, Data Labels, and case sensitivity to ensure correct mapping.

If anyone has an example CSV that works or knows the specific formatting rules, that would be extremely helpful!

Thanks in advance,
Sydney

Hello @Sydney N Yoanidis,

Thanks for reaching out here in the Docusign Community—great to have you here!

Instead of creating your own CSV from scratch, I highly recommend downloading the sample CSV file directly during the Bulk Send process in Docusign. When you go to the Bulk Send and select your template, you’ll find an option to download a sample CSV. This CSV is automatically generated based on the exact fields, role names, and Data labels used in your template, ensuring perfect matching and minimizing errors.

You can then simply transfer the data you have from your own CSV into the sample CSV before uploading it back

Regarding your question about whether the Bulk Send feature is fully enabled on your account: if the email address you are using in the community is the same one tied to your Docusign account, then I can confirm that  Bulk Send is enabled for your account.

I hope you find this helpful. If you believe this response effectively addresses your question, can you please mark it as Best Answer ✅to help other users with similar questions, locate it more easily.
