Fixed Text Custom Field

I want to create a fixed text custom field that can optionally be placed in an envelope by the sender and can be visible to all recipients

The Fixed text is 

APPROVED AS TO FORM:

SANTA CLARA CITY ATTORNEY”S OFFICE

 

I create the field as read only, with a fixed length but I get a box surrounding the text and it wraps around even though I lengthen the field on the document.

 

How do I remove the box outline and stop the field from wrapping.  I have also tried creating 2 custom fields one for each line but I get the same behavior.

Thank you for getting back to me. I believe I have misunderstood your initial questions. I'm sorry if my previous follow-ups weren't relevant. To recap, you need to create a non-editable stamp with a fixed width. The issue is that after creating a custom field, the field text wraps, and boxes appear around it when previewed. A workaround was provided, which uses a standard text field; however, your preference is to avoid using this option repeatedly due to the extra effort involved in frequent use.

I have conducted some tests with a similar configuration, and I haven't been able to replicate the behavior described. On my end, the field doesn't wrap, and no boxes around them upon preview. Given this, we strongly recommend opening a support case so a technical expert can investigate more closely, ideally via screen sharing, recreate and observe the behavior, and file a bug ticket if necessary. 👉 Open a Support Case

Hi, Thank you - attached are the screenshots of the custom field setups. and the document.  It doesnt seem to matter what font I use the text still wraps - maybe I should set the row height - would that be 1 for a single line?

​@Gill Norris this is very unusual, but here I would suggest instead of using Custom fields, try using the text field from “Standard fields”

I have the same issue. To create a text field each time is not an option, since we use these fields a lot. I have made a drop down, but the problem is when you change one all of them change (you can not have dropdowns of the same field with different values.

  • No option to create a text field
  • Unable to have dropdowns of the same field with different values

We want to create a stamp that is not editable and is fixed. We need to “stamp” our drawings to say that it is “For Manufacture” or “For Information” etc. This is no option for this.
