Fields always on last page of a template

The closest option that we offer is AutoPlace Fields, To add fields to a recipient in the Add Fields view, select the recipient and choose a field type to add it to the active page. To automatically place copies of the field, go to the properties panel, expand the Location section, click Set Up under AutoPlace, enter the matching string, and select APPLY. You can make changes to the properties, placement, or size of the fields as a group by selecting OK in the results dialog, or ungroup the fields and make changes individually by selecting UNGROUP. Additionally, you can save the field as a custom field for future use.

Note: Some advanced features and options are supported only in specific Docusign plans. Your account plan might not support some of the options discussed in this help topic. I wouldn’t say it was a full answer to the problem. Auto place as useful as it can be, is also not a feature I would be happy to put into a template. There may be occasions where the chosen text appears elsewhere in the document, and this will then potentially cause issues where fields are being placed on unexpected pages in the document. To mitigate this risk, you would have to scroll through the document making sure no additional fields were added and if you’re going to this trouble you’d be just as quick scrolling to the last page and adding the fields manually.
