If we enable document retention would the signee still have access to download the documents from their end after the purge cycle is complete?

Hello @cminders

Thank you for reaching out here in the DocuSign Community, I appreciate you bringing your question to the DocuSign Community we want to welcome you to this community.

I apologize for the inconvenience, I understand that you want to know if you enable document retention on your account, will the recipients still have access to download the documents from their end after the purge cycle is completed?

After the purge is completed all the participants of the envelope will lose access to it, they will not be able to see it or download it.

Envelope purging is a process that permanently removes documents and their field data from completed and voided envelopes after a specified retention period. Warnings are provided through account notifications and email to allow users to download documents before they are purged. By default, documents are kept indefinitely, but administrators can set up purging rules and specify a document retention period. Purge Envelopes
