Hi,

I have a question concerning delegation : when a delegate signs a document on behalf of the delegator, the signature visible on the document is the delegate’s one. Is it possible to modify this setup and get the delegator’s one, with the precision it has been signed by the delegate in the envelope details ?

Thanks for your help !

Hello @Stephane,

Thanks for reaching out here in the Docusign Community—great to have you here

As of now, DocuSign does not offer a way to replace the delegate’s signature with the delegator’s on the document itself. The system records the actual signer’s identity.

The envelope details and Certificate of Completion will clearly indicate that the action was performed on behalf of the delegator. This includes:

  • The delegate’s name and email

  • A note that the signing was done on behalf of [Delegator Name]

  • A timestamped audit trail

I hope this helps clarify things! If you found this response helpful, feel free to give it a like or mark it as the best answer. Let us know if you have any further questions
