I’m trying to configure my document/contract so that certain clauses, selected via checkboxes by the first signer (myself), trigger the appearance of (my counterparty’s) initial fields.|
While I can set conditional logic for these fields based on whether a clause’s checkbox is checked, the challenge I face is that the conditionality of the initial fields is only available for myself aka the first signer. I’m unable to get the second signer’s initial fields to appear conditionally based on the first signer’s selections. Essentially, the dependency rules for the checkboxes don’t carry over from the first signer to the second signer.
Any help or workarounds? Much appreciated!
Hello
Thank you for reaching out, and a warm welcome to the DocuSign Community! We appreciate your engagement and are committed to fostering a supportive environment for knowledge sharing.
We understand you're working on conditional logic rules, specifically where the second signer's initial fields should appear based on the first signer's checkbox selections. However, it doesn't extend to the second signer's fields. We're sorry for any inconvenience caused. Happy to help you with this topic and find a solution that works for you!
Currently, cross-recipient conditional logic is not an available feature. We recognize that this might be a limitation for your needs, and we encourage you to consider submitting this as a suggestion for consideration by our development team for potential implementation. You can share this on our Ideas board: Submit a feature request. That’s where ideas from Docusign users like you can submit ideas to improve Docusign’s features, and where you can also vote on ideas from other members.
As a potential workaround, you may explore conditional routing where you can set a conditional rule that triggers the creation of recipient roles based on the answer to a field in your document, which can help you achieve your desired outcome.
