Hi @yelis,
Welcome to the DocuSign Community!
We are glad to have you here and can't wait to help share as much knowledge as possible.
I am sorry to hear that your signature included a typo, but I will point you to the best resources to correct the issue.
If you are signing your document while logged in as an active user, you will get the option to edit your signature by right clicking it.
You can find detailed steps on this process, here:
How do I change my signature or adopt a custom signature?
In the case that you might not get this option, the best path to follow will be reaching out to the sender so they can recreate the envelope.
Feel free to let us know if you need further assistance with this.
Thank you for using DocuSign, we hope you have a wonderful rest of your day!
Best regards,

Hi Alejandro,
I’m having the same issue. The solution you offered:
If you are signing your document while logged in as an active user, you will get the option to edit your signature by right clicking it.
Does not work. Right-clicking my signature brings up a browser menu. It does not give me the option to edit my signature, even though I’m logged in and already have multiple other signatures saved to my account.
This is a very bad bug for such a simple service. It should be the easiest thing in the world to choose a different signature before submitting a document.
Hello @RS321,
Thank you for reaching out, and welcome to the Docusign Community! We appreciate your question and assure you that we are fully committed to providing you with the best service possible.
Changing your signature style or creating a signature in Docusign is a great way to customize and personalize the signing process. Watch this quick video to learn how. Docusign features a set of predefined signature styles to choose from. You can also draw your signature with a mouse to use in all of your signing sessions. When you sign for the first time in Docusign, you're asked to adopt a signature, but this can be changed at any time.
Change your signature while signing
To change your signature while signing:
- Navigate to the document you are signing.
- Select the adopted signature in the document and select Change.
Note: You may not see this option for following reasons:
- You do not have an active Docusign Account
- You are signing using:
- Docusign mobile apps
- In Person Signing Session
- Digital Signatures/Universal Signatures (CFR part 11, etc.)
- Sign and Return
- Sender has locked recipients' names
Change signature in account: Manage Profile
To change your signature style or adopt a custom signature, follow these steps:
- From your Docusign Account, select your user icon, then select Manage Profile.
- Select Signatures.
- Select Actions > Delete to remove an existing signature, or ADD SIGNATURE to create a new signature.
- Enter your name and initials exactly as you want them to appear in your signature, then select one of the following options:
- CHOOSE: Select any of the pre-formatted signature styles.
- DRAW: Create a freehand drawing of your signature and initials.
- UPLOAD: Upload your own signature and initials image files.
- When finished, select CREATE to accept the new signature and initial style.
Note:
- You can only have one signature per full name.
- If you choose to adopt a new signature, it will delete and replace the previous signature.
