Hello - We have a document that we would like to be able to route as follows, is it possible?

 

  1. Signer 1 - student, who uploads supporting docs
  2. Review/Possible signer - the form first goes to the Registrar.
    1. If no further action is needed, the Registrar will sign and close the envelope,
    2. But if further action is needed, the Registrar can route the form to the Curriculum Reviewer.
  3. The Curriculum Reviewer will make notes and sign and close the envelope.
  4. Everyone (including the Registrar) will be notified.

Is this at all possible within Docusign?

Yes, it is possible to be done with Conditional Routing.

Conditional routing is the first feature released as part of the Advanced Recipient Routing add on for Docusign eSignature. This new suite of capabilities will help you automate your eSignature process. Conditional routing lets you route an envelope to different people based on envelope data. This eliminates the need to manually configure the envelope routing or to use separate templates, each with their own routing.

This guide provides information on how to set up and use conditional routing on an envelope or template. For introductory information about conditional routing, see Introduction to Conditional Routing.

I have some follow-up questions. Is there a way to test this feature, in a live or Sandbox environment? And how does one enable this/what is the additional pricing?

To enable this feature on your sandbox account, you must create a support case so a support expert can do it for you.
While in production, the feature you're asking about—Conditional Routing—is available with select plans. You can check what’s included here:

If you’re part of a corporate plan and want to explore enabling this feature, the best next step is to contact your Docusign Account Executive or Account Manager. They can walk you through options and pricing.
