This is the first time I’ve composed an envelope for signing this year. I do not see an option to add text when signing? 

How can I add text?

Thank you for reaching out to the Docusign Community.  

You can add text during the signing session if there was a Text Box field added to the document by the sender. The option to add a Text Box should be included as part of the Standard Fields menu, located at the left side of the screen, during the Add Fields step of the envelope creation or correction process.
