I am setting up a document template that will be signed in person by a number of employees (with role titled Driver) under the supervision of a host. I would like to add dropdown fields and checkbox fields under the Driver role, for each to select a number of options as they sign, in person. However when I add these fields using the template editor and preview the document as the Driver role, the fields disappear from the document.
If I change the Driver role to be a remote signer, the fields appear in the document, but not when done as ‘in-person’. Is this a known issue or limiation?
For reference I am using the new editor, not the classic, as I wish to use the conditional elements feature with the dropdowns I am trying to add.
Hello
Thank you for reaching out, and welcome to the Docusign Community! We appreciate your question and assure you that we are fully committed to providing you with the best service possible.
I understand the situation you are encountering involves the use of DocuSign’s Agreement Template Builder, specifically when setting up a document for in-person signing. You have correctly identified that dropdown fields and checkbox fields are not appearing when the role is set to “Driver” for in-person signing, but they do appear when the role is changed to a remote signer. I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this has caused and I am here to help.
Currently, in-person signing is not supported in the Agreement Template Builder. For those needing in-person signing capabilities, I recommend exploring standard templates or other features within DocuSign that facilitate remote signing processes. If you are under an Enterprise account, I highly encourage you to create a case to submit an Enhancement request or you can submit this as an idea to the DocuSign Community, to directly influence the development of new features and improvements. Your suggestions can help shape the future of DocuSign’s products, ensuring that they align with user needs and preferences. See here: How to Use the Ideas Feature | Community
