What is Docusign Community Ideas?
Docusign Community Ideas is your space to share and support innovations that can improve your Docusign experience. Your inputs help shape the future of Docusign.
How to access and engage with existing ideas
To start engaging, head over to the Ideas tab on the Docusign Community. You can search, support with comments or upvotes, and contribute to new ideas in the Docusign Community. Here’s how:
1. Log in:

Anyone can view ideas, even if you aren’t logged in. However, if you want to post, upvote, or comment on ideas you must be logged into the Docusign Community.

If it’s your first time visiting the Community, check out the Get Started guide with instructions on how to log in.
2. Find Ideas:

Search to see if your idea has already been suggested.

Browse by category tags to discover ideas related to topics you’re interested in.
3. Show your support:

Upvote ideas you like or want implemented:

You can upvote as many ideas as you like but can only upvote once per idea.

You can remove your upvote at any time.

Upvotes help us track the most popular suggestions.

Comment on ideas to share feedback, suggest improvements, or add use cases.
How to submit a new idea
Follow these steps to submit your idea to the Docusign Community:
1. Log in: Make sure you're logged into your account before submitting an idea.
2. Create your idea: Select Create an Idea to start your submission.
3. Fill in the details:

Title: Add a clear, concise title that summarizes your idea.

Description: Write a clear description that communicates why this idea will drive impact:

Be specific and avoid vague terms. Instead of saying, "It would be nice if it worked better," say something like, "The current process for X is slow, and this feature would automate that step, saving 30 minutes per day."

Focus on the value: What benefit does this idea bring to you and other customers?

Keep it actionable: Ensure your description gives enough context for Docusign teams to understand the need and solution.

We recommend answering these questions in your description:

What problem does this solve? Explain the challenge or pain point you're experiencing.

Who will benefit? Specify the target users or teams (e.g., admins, end users, partners, developers).

What impact will this have? Describe how it will improve processes, productivity, or overall experience.

Add visuals: Attach screenshots, examples, or use cases to help illustrate your idea.

Select tags: Choose the relevant product area and tags for your idea.
4. Submit your idea:
Once you’ve completed writing your idea, select Submit. Note: Only Community moderators or administrators can edit your idea after submission.
How to track the status of an idea
Each idea is assigned a status to show its progress:
- Idea Submitted: The default status for all ideas. When ideas are at this status, you are encouraged to upvote an idea or comment on it with your inputs to help the idea move into review.
- Under Review: The idea is being evaluated by Docusign.
- Planned: The idea has been selected for teams to begin developing.
- In beta: The idea is available for early access and testing
- Parked: The idea is viable, but is not currently considered at this time.
- Delivered: The idea is implemented and live.
- Existing functionality: The idea can be solved within the set of capabilities and platform services that exist today.
- Duplicate: The idea was a duplication and merged with existing Idea.
You can subscribe to your idea or other people’s submitted ideas to get updates on an idea’s progress.
While we can’t guarantee that every idea will be implemented, or implemented exactly as worded, we appreciate your input in making Docusign better for everyone.
