I want to capture the Output of the Failure for a particular step in CLM. It appears that none of the carrot variables provide this level of detail. Does anyone know how to capture this information (in a variable?) so I can use it in a downstream Workflow step?

Hello @JohnSimp

Welcome to the DocuSign Community!

I see in the snapshot that you're using the "Append Text to Document" step. Could you please share how you’ve configured that step? Knowing the exact setup will help in understanding how the failure is occurring and whether the output can be captured into a variable for downstream use.

Thanks!

Hello @JohnSimp

Before this step you will have to use “Write Text Document” step to create a text file and then you will have append test doc step using that file.

Thanks!

@JohnSimp - To respond to your inital question on “capture the Output of the Failure for a particular step in CLM.” - It is not possible.

However, as a better practice, you can map the failure routes and provide a message that is user friendly and handle the same accordingly in your process flow.

For the detailed / technical message understanding, you may send an email to the CLM Admin to dig deeper and find the actual error.
