I was able to upload the current IRS W-9 Form (https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/fw9.pdf) and the fields populated in DocuSign, but before I sent these out I wanted to check and make sure the IRS accepts DocuSigned W-9's.

Hi,

Thank you for reaching out to the DocuSign Community.

Starting March 1, 2016, the IRS will allow some forms electronically signed documents to be submitted.

Taxpayers, who currently use Forms 8878 or 8879 to sign electronic Forms 1040 federal tax returns or filing extensions, can use an e-signature to sign and electronically submit these forms to their Electronic Return Originator (ERO).

In order to ensure the documents are accepted successfully you will need to follow their best practices:

Here is an additional resource that you might find useful:

Thank you for using DocuSign, we hope you find this information useful and have a wonderful rest of your day!
