I sent out a document for 2 signers to sign. Even though they both got the envelope, only one had access to sign. What can I do to fix
Yes, if they are separate recipients in the signing order, they should be able to sign without issues.
However, if they are part of a Signing Group, the document can be signed by any member of that group, and once one person signs, it completes the signing step for the group.
To clarify the issue:
- Are both signers listed as individual recipients in the DocuSign envelope?
- Is there a defined Signing Order, or are all recipients set to sign at the same time (parallel routing)?
- Are the signers part of a Signing Group, meaning they share signing responsibilities?
If they should be signing separately, check the recipient settings in the envelope to ensure they are not in a Signing Group and have distinct signing roles. Let me know if you need help checking this!
Both are listed as individual recipients, that each has thier own color coded signing instruction. However, when I sent the docuements, it only had one signers color coded instruction, although they both got the email. In essence, one couldn’t sign.
Hello
I suggest that you open a case using the link below so that we can ask for the envelope details and further check why the other recipients couldn’t sign.
