We would like to use your software recently purchased to use for signing doc’s for my company in Poland however the lawjer is not accepting docusign

Hi Andre,

Here is a quote from our lawyer, Mr Romanowski:

................................................

What is this discussion about?

The signature must be a qualified electronic signature (QES).

(EU Regulation No 910/2014, eIDAS).

Only such a signature is, under Polish law, equivalent to a handwritten signature on paper for all documents.

(A standard electronic signature is not sufficient. For example, the Szafir system offers both a standard electronic signature and a qualified electronic signature (which is more expensive).

It doesn’t matter which company provides the service. What matters is that it has an EU certificate….

We’ll check whether the electronically submitted signature is ‘qualified’ on the Polish gov.pl server.   And that’s it.

...........................

To answer your question: I use a QES signature provided by MSzafir (EU-certified for qualified signatures).

Hello @ANB,

Thank you for reaching out to the Docusign Community. I understand that your lawyer requires a Qualified Electronic Signature (QES) to comply with Polish law and EU Regulation No 910/2014 (eIDAS).

The good news is that Docusign offers a QES add-on feature for envelopes that meet these specific legal standards. This QES feature ensures your documents carry the necessary EU certificate to be recognized as the equivalent of a handwritten signature. Available Signature Types

To help you get started, please refer to this link on the step-by-step process of applying QES to your Docusign envelopes:

Since this is an add-on feature, it requires you to have an active/paid account by default. If you have a Docusign account, please open a support case with us to request more information regarding the cost and how to add this to your account. Your communication with our support representative can be via email, as requested.

We want to make sure your documents are legally protected and accepted by your legal team. Please let us know if you have any further questions.
