Is It Possible to Restrict Attachment Access Per Signer in DocuSign?

At this time, Docusign does not support hiding signer attachments individually when all recipients have access to the same document. If one signer uploads a driver’s license using a Signer Attachment field, other recipients who can view that document may also be able to see the uploaded file, including in the completed envelope.
However, there is a possible workaround using Document Visibility settings. Signer Attachments inherit the visibility settings of the document where the Attachment field is placed. Since Document Visibility works at the document level (not page or field level), the recommended approach is to:

• Place each signer’s attachment field on a separate document
• Configure Document Visibility so only the intended signer can access that document

With this setup, uploaded attachments will be visible only to recipients who have access to the specific document.
