When the customer receives the DocuSign document and they open it, they are presented with an Electronic Disclosure popup, where the same Private Message is placed on this popup and saying it is coming from the User Account of the one sending the document and not from the Agent that placed the actual message. Is there a way to not have the Private message on the Disclosure, and if not can it be configured to say that it came from the Agent rather than the User Account?

Hi @cweeks !

Private messages is not a feature that you, as an Admin, can disable by yourself. I’m not aware of any possibility to disable this option from a specific account, but I suggest you to submit a ticket to Docusign Customer Support to double-check.

Currently, the only way to remove a private message after the envelope was sent, is to correcting the envelope, like this article explains: Remove a Private Message.

I apologize for not being able to help you as much as you would like, but this is really an unusual request. Our users usually welcome this field, as it is an opportunity to send a message to a user without the other recipients seeing it. Perhaps a possible solution would be to instruct the senders on your account on how to use this field correctly, or even edit your account's Legal Disclosure to state that this text does not reflect the company's opinion.
