I have a web form with all of the template fields on it.

when i edit the template settings and try to add a merge field into the subject the only fields that show are the people and emails of those that have to sign, no other fields.

What i want is the faculty members name to appear in the subject so that all approvers will see who it is for.

I have tried manually adding it with [[Faculty_Name]] but that isn’t working.

Please help,

Thanks

That functionality is not yet available but it is on the product roadmap.

Is there some way I can work around that?

Hello @mshealy ,

Thank you for reaching out here in the Docusign Community.

I understand you are looking to add a name to the subject as a merge field.

Unfortunately, as @Jeff.Daviscourt mentioned, this update in not yet available. The only workaround would be to manually input the name, you could use an Envelope Custom Field, but it will result in the same with you manually inputting the name.

@mshealy

If you add them as a CC recipient, you can add their name on the subject line by adding the following syntax:  Faculty_Name_UserName]]

did not work .  it worked for other signature to get the username but not this one

Hello @mshealy ,

Thank you for reaching back.

As mentioned in my previous post, you would need to manually input the needed name in the email subject as Docusign only supports, at the moment, the usage of custom fields and added recipient data data as email subject merge fields.
