DocuSign eSignature Radio Button Displays as Dot During Signing but Shows as "X" in Completed Document

In a DocuSign eSignature template, selected radio buttons display as a black dot during signing, but after the envelope is completed and the document is returned to Salesforce, the selected radio button appears as an ‘X’ (cross sign). Is there a DocuSign setting that controls the radio button rendering in the completed PDF? Has anyone experienced this and found a solution? please suggest. Thanks in advance.
