How do I default adding documents to Opportunities?

This was asked (regarding Estimates) in post https://support.docusign.com/s/topic/0TO1W0000007KF8WAM/netsuite?t=1619547558516, but is this general behavior for any record type, in that the latest version of DocuSign for NetSuite does not attach the document to the NetSuite record by default any longer (as the last version did)?

The latest version of DocuSign eSignature for NetSuite does not automatically add files in on an Opportunity. You can achieve this by creating a custom button.

Some sample scripts are found in our product to get you started. In NetSuite > Documents > Files > File Cabinet > SuiteBundles > Bundle 351444 > DocuSign > Custom Button Scripts > Samples

Page 18 of our User Guide explains the step by step process:

I did a test and we have no custom buttons on the opportunity record, yet signed documents are attaching in my tests. I'm trying to determine why it isn't always happening on the same record type for some users.

A slightly different question, but users are also reporting that they must always log into NetSuite after clicking 'done' on the DocuSign document envelope after having selected to 'send with DocuSign'. Was this always the behavior, or is this also new to this v2020.09.02?

I recommend opening a support case for the first issue. Signed documents shouldn't be attached to new envelopes when using the "Send with DocuSign" button. If it's happening inconsistently across different users it may be a permissions issue.

For the issue with logging back into NetSuite after sending, are you using Chrome as the browser? Recent updates to Chrome may have impacted this. To avoid logging back in, either use a different browser or disable SameSite cookie enforcement.

Be aware that this may be in breach of your organization's security policy and it's recommended you check with your security team before making any changes to browser settings.
