Hallo zusammen,

wir haben aktuell Probleme mit dem DocuSign Outlook Add-in.

Das Add-in funktioniert bei uns nicht korrekt bzw. lässt sich nicht wie erwartet nutzen. Laut aktuellem Stand scheint hierfür Exchange Online erforderlich zu sein.
Hat jemand das DocuSign Outlook Add-in erfolgreich ohne Exchange Online im Einsatz? Gibt es hierfür bekannte Workarounds oder alternative Möglichkeiten?

Hello everyone,

we are currently experiencing issues with the DocuSign Outlook Add-in.

The add-in is not working correctly in our environment and, based on the latest information we received, Exchange Online seems to be required.
Has anyone successfully used the DocuSign Outlook Add-in without Exchange Online? Are there any known workarounds or alternative solutions?

Hello,

thank you for your reply.

We are currently trying to use the DocuSign Outlook Add-in in a local Outlook environment without Exchange Online.

The main issue is that the Add-in does not work correctly when trying to send envelopes through Outlook. During troubleshooting, we were recently informed that Exchange Online may actually be required for the integration to work properly.

At the moment, we are trying to clarify whether there is any supported way to use the Outlook Add-in without Exchange Online, or if this setup is technically not supported at all.

The Outlook versions currently in use in our environment are:

  • 16.0.19929.20172

  • 16.0.20026.20076

  • 16.0.20026.20112

Exchange can be used with the Docusign for Outlook App, but it requires having access to the Appstore configured. It's also not supported.
I would think Exchange on-premises will not work (or will work with great difficulty) because it is "further away" from M365 than Exchange Online is.

Hello,

our environment consists of Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.), but our mailboxes are hosted on an on-premises Exchange Server rather than Exchange Online.

Based on the responses received so far, it is still not clear to me whether the DocuSign Outlook Add-in is generally supported in such a configuration or whether Exchange Online is actually required.

I would therefore like to keep this question open in case other community members have a similar environment.

Is anyone successfully using the DocuSign Outlook Add-in with Microsoft 365 Apps and an on-premises Exchange Server? If so, were any special configurations or additional settings required?

At this time, the Docusign Outlook Add-in is not officially supported for on-premises Exchange Server environments. While some customers may be able to get the add-in working with an on-premises Exchange deployment, this configuration is not actively tested or supported by Docusign. One known requirement is that the environment must have access to the Microsoft Store. However, because on-premises Exchange is not a supported configuration, DocuSign does not maintain a comprehensive list of requirements, configurations, or troubleshooting guidance for these deployments.

We welcome feedback from other community members who may have experience using the Docusign Outlook Add-in with an on-premises Exchange environment and are willing to share their setup and best practices.

Hello,

we have access to the Outlook Store and successfully installed the DocuSign add-in through it.

Our current environment is as follows:

> Microsoft 365 Apps installed

> Local Exchange server installed

> Outlook Store / Add-in Management accessible

> DocuSign Outlook add-in successfully installed

Envelope creation works, but sending the signed envelopes fails.

Hallo,

das habe ich bereits getan und warte derzeit noch auf eine Rückmeldung.

Ich möchte die Frage hier in der Community dennoch offen lassen, da ich hoffe, dass sich eventuell ein anderer DocuSign-Anwender meldet, der eine ähnliche Umgebung oder sogar das gleiche Problem hat und seine Erfahrungen oder eine mögliche Lösung teilen kann.

i have already done that and am currently waiting for a response.

However, I would like to keep this discussion open in the community in the hope that another DocuSign user with a similar environment or even the same issue may be able to share their experience or suggest a possible solution.
