We need to regularly report on the number of active users, broken down by permission profile (not necessary users who have used the platform in the last X period, just how many are active (not Closed) right now).

This isn’t currently possible in DocuSign. The only alternative was to create new groups and add the relevant users based on their permission profiles to the relevant group and schedule the report based on this. But you can’t automatically add new users into said group when you add their permission profile, so this isn’t viable.

Currently we’re doing manual exports on a regular basis to gather this information.

Thanks so much for your idea, @KieraMears. After review, we found that this request can be accomplished using existing features within DocuSign.

While DocuSign doesn’t currently have a built‑in report that automatically groups active users by permission profile, you can achieve the same result by exporting your user list and filtering it manually. The Download Users export includes the key data you need, such as Status (Active/Closed) and Permission Profile, so you can easily filter for active users and then sort or group them by their assigned permission profile.
