Dear DS team

Would it be possible to get an option to integrate the signatory’s name into the file name of the signed document.

Same for the date of signature

We would then have :

Document name _ Signatory’s name . PDF

 OR

Document name _ Signatory’s name _ Signature date .  PDF

Thank you

Thanks so much for your idea, @Bertrand CHENIN. After review, we found that this request can be accomplished using existing features within DocuSign.

It is possible to have the signatory’s name automatically appear in the file name of the completed document. To do this, you can set up a template and customize the email subject, which becomes the envelope name.

  1. Open your template.
  2. Go to the Email Subject field.
  3. Click the arrow on the right side of the subject line.
  4. You’ll see options to insert recipient merge fields such as the signer’s name or email.
  5. Add the desired merge field to the subject

When the envelope is completed and you download the combined PDF, the filename will reflect that subject line, including the signer’s name.
