Request to Restore Previous Filename Behavior
We are requesting that DocuSign address the filename normalization changes introduced in the February 10 platform update. This update removes periods and certain special characters from filenames during download, which breaks our automation and validation processes that rely on exact filename preservation.
Because our workflows are tied to strict auditability, this change also creates compliance risks for our Part 11–regulated processes, where filename integrity is part of our documented controls.
ZIP downloads are not an option in our environment, so the impact is immediate and operational.
We are requesting one of the following:

Restoration of the previous filename behavior, or
-
A configurable option to disable filename normalization during download.
At this time, the only workaround is modifying filenames before sending them to DocuSign, which is not feasible for our validated workflows.
