Forwarded envelopes should inherit account settings for reminders and expiration

This idea came as a result of a support case that I opened. We discovered that forwarded envelopes within an account do not have the customized account settings for reminders and expiration applied to them. Forwarded envelopes instead have the DocuSign default settings of no reminders and 120 day expiration. Support stated the product team confirmed that “this behavior is expected by design”. This contradicts the wording on the Reminders and Expiration settings page that states “Set default reminders and expirations for all envelopes sent from this account.” Support suggested that we enable sender override which is not something that we can do.

My suggestion is that forwarded envelopes behave in the same way as new envelopes. Currently there is nothing that indicates forwarded envelopes work any differently than new envelopes. Or since this is “expected by design”, allow the admin to configure the settings for forwarded envelopes instead of applying DocuSign defaults with no way to change them.
