To format the folder path for Box, the structure for routing documents to Box subfolders uses the exact same forward-slash (/) formatting as Google Drive. You simply type the folder names followed by a slash at the beginning of the "Customize file and folder name/path" field before adding your dynamic tags or file name.

Example: Client Agreements/2026/+[Recipient Name] - +[Document Name]

In this example, the completed document will be saved into the "2026" subfolder, which lives inside the parent "Client Agreements" folder in your connected Box account.

The Crucial Difference for Box (Case-Sensitivity): While the structural formatting is the same as Google Drive, Box has one very strict limitation: Box file and folder paths are strictly case-sensitive. If your actual folder in Box is named client agreements (lowercase), but you type Client Agreements/ (capitalized) into your DocuSign rule, the integration will fail. You will likely receive an error stating that an item with the same name already exists with a different capitalization. You must ensure that the path you type in Agreement Actions perfectly matches the uppercase and lowercase letters of your existing Box directories.
