The key point here is that the Salesforce connector depends on the specific IAM plan. According to the accepted Docusign response, IAM Core Standard, Pro, and Enterprise plans do not include the Salesforce connector, while IAM for Sales and IAM for CX include it at no additional charge.

That’s an important distinction to check before designing the Salesforce integration around a particular subscription. I’d also confirm the exact connector capabilities available in the selected plan, especially if Salesforce is expected to drive customer or contract workflows.

In broader Salesforce integrations, the technical connection is only part of the equation. How customer information moves between systems and how easily teams can act on it can have a direct effect on the overall customer experience.

This is an important distinction when comparing the IAM plans, especially if Salesforce is expected to be part of the workflow. The Enterprise Core license by itself doesn’t include the Salesforce connector, so I’d confirm the connector requirement before choosing the plan rather than assuming “Enterprise” automatically covers the integration.

For teams with heavier CRM and contact-center requirements, it’s also worth looking beyond the licensing question and considering how the integration fits into the wider architecture: CTI, routing, CRM activity capture, automation, and reporting can all affect the final setup. There are several Salesforce CTI approaches depending on how much functionality the business needs beyond basic connectivity. Salesforce CTI alternatives for call centers
