Possible to build a chat app extension?

I can’t tell from the documentation whether extension apps have an sort of UI component in the platform or if it is purely a step in workflows

Extension apps can be integrated into multiple extension points, including Maestro and eSign today. We're working to expand this to additional extension points--like Navigator--in the future, so stay tuned! If you'd like to learn more, here are some helpful links:
