Using Identity Verification with templates

Hi,
I followed the docusign developer page to implement the identity verification : https://www.docusign.com/blog/developers/using-identity-verification-templates

Steps :
1. Created the draft envlope with POST request
2. To sent the envelope using the PUT request but it is creating two different recipient with the same name while putting instead of updating the existing recipient.

Could you please suggest the solution
