Keeping Authentication only for signers and not Carbon Copy Recipients using automation after envelope is sent

Hi All,

Our admin setting is currently set to "Any Recipient Must Authenticate On Any Envelope."

I want to automate a process where, after an envelope is sent, only the signers are required to authenticate, while Carbon Copy recipients are not. I understand that an envelope can only be corrected after it's sent, so my question is: how can I correct an envelope using the API, and is it possible to update the authentication requirements for CC recipients? I haven't found a way to do this directly in DocuSign.
