Custom UI Integration in Extension App?

I am building a SMS extension app for workflow when customer add a step to send a SMS ,the custom UI will get open where he add the number to which he wants to send SMS and the message body? as well as I want to fetch the contacts from the DB which already present in my DB to show him in a dropdown options for sending message?

Hi Kavya, thanks for your message. I’m on the Product team for extensions. Which extension contract are you using or planning on using? Here’s the list of the contracts currently published: https://developers.docusign.com/extension-apps/extension-app-reference/extension-contracts/

If I understand your use case (get contact information, select a phone number, then send an SMS message to that number within a Maestro workflow), we don’t have an extension type purpose-built for it, but you *might* be able to creatively make it work with Data IO. Any details on the business use case / customer need would be great to see as well.

Hii, Thanks for reply, I am using Data IO extension type and i have done lot of work already with my app I just want that user will be able to select contact (Custom UI) and i want to do read and write within a same step . is it possible?

I believe it would be interesting reaching out to your Account Executive or opening a ticket, to have assistance on setting up your Extension, as your request sounds more like an implementation rather than a break fix or clarification.
