Currency in Webforms

Hello Everyone, 

I am creating a webform for a loan application, and I see that there is an option for currency in the webform, but I cant figure out how to link it to an API in the template I have. 

I’ve tried to use a text box that has a number validation, but that isnt working. I’ve tried just a text box, and manually changed the API reference in the webform, but that didnt work either. 

Am I missing something?
