Witness error message when amending existing envelope

Question

I am receiving an error message “The witness host signer id is not valid.” when correcting all existing envelopes to add a new signer who needs to sign with a witness. The platform allows you to add the signer but when you correct the envelope it creates them without a witness group. Is anyone else experiencing this/know a fix please?
