I've created an input process using Webforms. Now I'd like to store the collected data in a document, which then goes into the signature process. Would that work?

Yes, if the fields you’ve added to the Web Form are mapped to Fields/Tabs on the underlying Template, then it would be visible on the final agreement that is being signed. I would suggest referencing Prepare a Template to Import to a Web Form. You have the control over what data is collected solely in the Web Form versus what pulls through to be populated on the agreement. Configuration of the Fields/Tabs in the Template would then dictate at signing if that data is read-only or left so that the recipient can modify inputs at time of signing. Hope that helps.

@anbean

Absolutely, this is the default use case with Docusign web forms. Collecting data, merging that with a template and triggering the signature process.
