Unable to correct recipient email after sending envelope

Hi,

I sent an envelope and need to correct one letter in a recipient’s email address.

I’ve read the support/community posts saying I should be able to correct the recipient email after sending, but I’m not seeing the Correct option or a clear way to edit the email address.

What I’ve already checked:

  • I am the sender/owner of the envelope.

  • This is a paid DocuSign account.

  • The envelope has not been completed.

  • One person has signed.

  • I only need to correct one letter in the email address.

  • I do not want to void the envelope and resend it.

Can someone tell me why I’m not seeing the option to correct the recipient email, or where exactly I should go to make this change?

If the recipient with the incorrect email address has not yet completed their action, you should normally be able to update the email using the Correct feature from the envelope's Manage page.

If the Correct option is unavailable, it may indicate that the recipient has already taken action or that a configuration prevents recipient corrections.
To help us investigate further, could you please send the Envelope ID via private message? We can review the envelope details and determine why the Correct option is not appearing.

Thank you. I’ll send the Envelope ID by private message.

For clarity, the recipient has not completed their action, the envelope is not completed, and I am the sender/owner. I’m mainly trying to understand why the Correct option is not available or why I’m not able to edit the recipient email in this case.

I understand how frustrating it can be when you're expecting to see the Correct option and it isn't available. Upon checking, the Correct function is not available for Personal plan accounts.

As a result, the option will not appear on envelopes sent from a Personal plan. If you need to make changes to a sent envelope, the available workaround is to void the envelope (if appropriate) and send a new one with the correct information.
