To sign directly a document with a QES

The DS’ shortcut  Envelope > Sign a Document works only with a SES: Simple Electronic Signature.

It would be useful to use the same path and be able to select the kind of signature. Otherwise, to sign a document by myself with a QES I have to create an envelope and execute the whole process.

Any thoughts?

Hi @Giampaolo,

Thank you for sharing this feedback, and we apologize for any inconvenience this has caused you. I’ll be glad to help!

We understand that having the option to select the required signature type directly from the Sign a Document feature would make the signing process more convenient, particularly for users who need a QES.

Currently, the shortcut is limited to the available signing option and is designed to simplify the signing workflow. QES has additional identity, certificate, authentication, and regulatory requirements, and because of these controls, the standard envelope workflow is recommended over the shortcut. This helps ensure that the required qualified-signature processes and security controls are properly applied.

I hope the information provided clarifies.
