I have the paid basic realtor package for docusign. The text box doesn’t expand when I’m typing in it and I don’t have any ability to adjust. 

Below is a picture of what I’m used to having. Can someone let me know what I’m missing.

In the top screenshot, you are adding a pre-fill text box.  Those are set by the sender and as soon as a recipient opens the document, they burn into the document and can not be edited.

Top-left-ish of your screen, switch from Pre-fill Tools to Standard Fields.  Standard is the top of those three icons.  There you can drag a text box onto the document and assign it to one of the recipients.  You can also pre-set its value, but it will still be editable (unless you make it read-only).

If you save it and re-open it, is it still like that?  I think I had that happen to me a few weeks ago but it cleared up.

If it still stays like that, is there a “fixed width” formatting option that you can make sure is unchecked?

Tried saving a re-opening. Still have the same issue. Also I don’t see a fixed width.

You can resize the other input field types? (signature block, initials, date signed etc)


Yep everything else works. Just the text box. 

 


I’d enter your text so you have it done, and then leave it as a draft for a few hours.  Maybe start a new envelope, see if the fields are working right, then delete that envelope and go back to this one.

I tried leaving it as a draft and starting a new one and it still isn’t working.

Not sure if you have any other ideas. 


What browser are you using?  Have you tried a different one?

If it still happens across both browsers, then look to see if there are any console errors. (Right click on the page and choose “Inspect”.  It will open a side window with developer info.  Find the tab “Console” and see if it has any error entries.)

My user that reported it a few weeks ago said it cleared up on its own later that day.
