I have sent an envelope to someone, they are able to open the envelope and complete the document, once they select complete, an error message pops up stating that they have to start the signing process again and won’t allow the document to be signed. Is there a way to fix this error. I have sent the same document multiple times as well and the recipient gets the same error message.

Check the Document Setup: Make sure that the document is properly configured for signing. This includes checking whether all required fields are correctly placed and whether there are any restrictions that might prevent signing. Also, how many required fields are there before signatures can be placed? Make sure you let the person know how many required fields there are.
