I am able to find previously signed documents, even very old ones, by its IDs but they are not showing on my account page. Please advise.

Hello @qtph,

Thank you for reaching out, and a warm welcome to the Docusign Community! We're thrilled to have you here and can't wait to share our knowledge with you.

I understand you are experiencing some challenges with envelopes not appearing on your account page. I sincerely apologize and please know that I am here to assist you to the best of my ability. To better understand your situation, I have a few questions.

May you please provide more context of the issue? When you mentioned you could find previously signed documents using ID, is it the envelope id? Where are you searching for them? From your account's or another user's Inbox/Sent/Completed folders? Please provide a step-by-step process of what you are trying to do or a screenshot without any Personally Identifiable Information.

We look forward to hearing back from you. Thank you!

Hello @Melanie.Panguito

I signed a letter about a year ago and it used to be visible upon login to my account but not anymore on https://apps.docusign.com/send/home

Fortunately I found an email with a document ID and was able to retrieve the document.

Why previously signed documents disappear from https://apps.docusign.com/send/home after some time?

Hello @qtph,

Thank you for getting back to me. Let me share some possible reasons:

  • It could be your Filter. With Inbox/Sent/Completed folders, the default filter returns all the envelopes from the last six months. Change the Date filter to All time to locate items older than six months. Please see the comprehensive guide here: Using Filters
  • Multiple DocuSign accounts. The envelope may be located on another Docusign account associated with your email.
  • If your DocuSign administrator has enabled purging and specified a retention period for your account, it's important to note that once an envelope is purged, it cannot be recovered. More information here: What Is Purging?
  • Envelope deleted. When the envelope is deleted, retrieving it takes less than 24 hours before it is removed from direct account view. The good news is that as long as you still have the envelope ID, you can recover and move it back to its original folder. Steps: Go to Agreements > Select one of your envelopes > Open it by clicking the Subject > You will see the URL has the envelope ID, replace it with the missing envelope's ID.> Move the envelope back to its original folder. Articles: Retrieving Deleted Envelopes and What happens if I delete an envelope, and what can I do to recover it?

I hope these instructions are helpful and will help you resolve it. Thank you, @Melanie.Panguito

I found that a filter under Agreements tab was set to 6 months.

I removed the limit and now see all my documents.

Hello @qtph,

That's awesome! Appreciate the confirmation. Glad it's resolved now. Thank you and have a great day!
