Is it possible to send a document out to be viewed today, but not allow the person to actually sign it until a later date? a week later?

Yes, it can be achieved if you are on a Docusign eSignature plan that has all required features included.

This would be the correct configuration for the envelope routing:

  1. Add the person as a “Needs to view” recipient now
  2. Add delayed routing next and configure for a week
  3. send it to the same person as “Needs to sign”
