​When I try to set location to get a signature on certain PDF documents it doesn't recognise any words. Is it because it needs to be a word doc for docusign to be able to pick up words or is there a workaround? Thanks

Thank you for posting to DocuSign's New Community!

It sounds like you are attempting to use AutoPlace to automatically place the signature field, is that correct?

If so, the cause of the issue maybe related to the way the Word Doc is being converted to a PDF. The the PDF is an image, which can be the case, DocuSign will not be able to read the text in the same way as a "text selectable" PDF.  

Although this feature will work with both a PDF and MS Word document, you could certainly upload the Word doc to test if the AutoPlace fields are correctly assigned. If so, that will confirm it's an issue with the conversion of the PDF.
