Hi, all the recipients have completed their except one of them who is going to put his wet-ink signature. What would happen, if I remove that one recipient, would my document going to be marked as completed.
Yes, if you remove the last recipient in the signature workflow the documents will be marked as completed and it cannot be modified afterwards. If you print if to apply a wet-in signature and scan it back it, it will just be a PDF and will be missing the DocuSign platform seal and it is not an original and cannot be validated anymore.
However the wet-ink signature is not part of the transaction and it could be considered incomplete then and you need to distribute that copy to all recipients in the workflow outside of DocuSign. Also it is not linked to the DocuSign envelope as the recipient is not mentioned in the certificate of completion, which could be challenged by other signers.
Ideally this recipient will leverage the “Print and Sign” option that is available in DocuSign eSignature to download and then upload the wet-ink signed document back into DocuSign to complete the transaction. It will be captured as an attachment and it is clear to all recipients that it has been signed by that recipient.
