Question

Red text in the right hand corner of a signed document

When I send a document it contains text in the top right corner that I did not add.  How do I get rid of it?  All of the text is in red.

Docusign documents appearing with the following verbiage in red:

Hello @soniaB,

Thank you for reaching out, and a warm welcome to the Docusign Community! We are absolutely delighted to have you here and can't wait to share our knowledge with you.

I understand the document you sent contains a red text at the top right corner that you did not add. I sincerely apologize. Let's work together to sort this out.

To confirm, are you using a Developer Docusign account to send? If yes, this is an expected behavior. All documents you send here are used for demonstration purposes only and are watermarked. They are not valid contracts. Please see: What are the differences between a Docusign Trial account, Developer account, and Free account?

If you are using a production account, do you already have that text included on the uploaded file before sending?  If yes, the watermark cannot be removed from Docusign platform. If you used a template from a Developer account, you can download the template and upload it in Production to use it.
