Recipient limit of the envelope has been exceeded

Why is Docusign telling me that the ‘Recipient limit of the envelope has been exceeded’ when I have added only 7 signees? I’m on a free trial, but I can’t read from any of the Plans that the number of recipients would be a factor so I wouldn’t like to buy a plan until I know that I’ll be able to add the 7 signees with the paid plan for if that’s the issue.

I’m sorry to hear that you are getting an error when attempting to add signers, I understand you are on a free trial.

 

The free trial plans allow up to 5 signers per each envelope, if you would like to add more, you would need to purchase a Docusign plan: Docusign Plans

 

Paid plans allow up to 99 recipients: How To Add Recipients

Thank you! Very useful information. I’ll go ahead and purchase the plan. I think it would make sense for Docusign to distinguish the recipient/signer amount also in the plan descriptions. That’s the first place I went to look for this information.

I purchased a plan, but I can’t add more than 10 recipients to my envelope…

Why? How can I solve my problem?
