Hi all, how can I re-assign a document to a different signatory?

Context: document requires signature from 3 different functional leads. Two have already signed, the third is expectantly out of office and I want to re-assign it to their boss.

I can’t see this as an option in my actions.

Hi @shsf,

We appreciate you reaching out to the Docusign Community and are delighted to have you join us.

I’m sorry you are having issues re-assigning the document to a different signatory. Let me help you with this and provide the necessary information.

If you are the sender of the envelope, you can use the Correct feature to update the recipient’s name and email address. If not, please get in touch with the sender and request that they correct the envelope and update the recipient’s information, as the original recipient is not available at the moment.

Docusign also has a Delegated Signing feature, which allows a user to assign another user to sign on their behalf. Please note that this setup must be configured within the signer’s Docusign account, and both users need to belong to the same Docusign account.

I hope this helps clarify the available options. Feel free to let us know if you have any other questions.
