Prevent attachments from being seen by other signers

Question

We are creating a template where we are asking all business owners to attach their most recent personal tax returns. We are using the “Attach” field for each signer. However, in testing out the template, it appears that one signer can see the taxes that were attached by another signer. We obviously can’t allow that for privacy reasons.

We have the doc visibility setting that requires a signer to have a signing responsibility to view the document, but since these attachments don’t have any signing responsibility, they are viewable by all.

Is there any way to hide attachments from all signers, even in the completed documents email?

I sincerely apologize for this, and let's work together to sort this out.With Document Visibility, Signer Attachments inherit the visibility settings of the document on which the Attachment field was placed. Please note thatDocument visibility is applied at the document level. You cannot control visibility at the page level of a document; if a recipient can see a document, they can see all pages in the document. If you need to restrict visibility on certain pages, you would have to make those pages a separate document uploaded to the envelope.So, (for example) if you place the Attachment field on a document that only Signer 1 and Signer 2 can see, then any files uploaded via that Attachment field will also only be visible to Signer 1 and Signer 2.ArticlesSet Document VisibilitySome Things To Know About Document VisibilityFinally, depending on the settings, the attachment will only be included in the signer's completion emails, whoshould have visibility of it.I hope I answered your question.
