Question

Not able to insert Recipient Status via Salesforce Connect (DocuSign App Launcher)

Hi,

We are currently migrating to DocuSign App Launcher. While the old object is working fine with Salesforce Connect, the new objects fail to insert. I’m trying to create Envelope Status object in Salesforce followed by a Recipient Status when a User uses DocuSign to create envelopes instead of buttons inside Salesforce.

It fails to insert Recipient Status giving a required field missing error - which is the previous DocuSign Envelope Status

Has anyone come across such an issue or worked on something similar ?

Hi @Jai_Khandelwal,

Thank you for engaging with the Docusign Community, and we’re happy to assist!

I understand the issues you are having with the Docusign App Launcher, especially when the previous object works as expected and the new objects are causing issues during the migration. We apologize for the inconvenience this has caused you.

We recommend checking the required fields and field mappings for the Recipient Status object. Comparing the configuration of the new object with the previous Envelope Status object may help identify what is missing.

For App Launcher:

  • Use the App Launcher/DAL envelope template and its configured writeback options.
  • Do not use legacy Connect to create dfsle__RecipientStatus__c.
  • Recipient information is normally available from the Envelope Status record’s related list.
  • If you need separate recipient records or automation, use Salesforce Flow or a custom API/webhook process.

If you continue using Connect

The Connect object execution order must be:

  1. dfsle__EnvelopeStatus__c
  2. dfsle__RecipientStatus__c

If the issue has not been resolved with the information provided, your best next step is to open a Support case so our tech team can take a closer look. 👉 Open a support case

I hope this helps point you in the right direction!
