We have a user profile (as a “service account”) designated to be the Owner of our Docusign Web Forms, Templates, and Power Automate Flow Connectors. Every quarter, this password must be changed in Docusign. After I change the password in the user profile in Docusign, I have to launch Power Automate. I believe that I then have to open dependent objects that have a stored connection containing this user’s credentials in some way to get the prompts that will ask me to authenticate this user’s credentials again. I can respond to the prompts and update the authentication credentials at that time, but only if I get a prompt to do so. However I don’t know how many objects in Power Automate need to be “refreshed” manually so that they do not fail when triggered. We have standard Docusign Connectors but we also have a Custom Connector. How do I know that all of my connections are updated? Do I have to trigger flows that use all of the affected connectors? So far, I have been reactive to when I see a flow failure, but I’d rather have the correct process documented.

You're welcome @Adrienne Connolly-Poe. Sharing the steps:

  1. Log in to Power Automate.
  2. Click Connections in the Panel on the left.
  3. In the connection page that appears locate the Docusign Connection.
  4. Click the 3 dots next to the connection and click Switch account
  5. In the pop up that appears, log in to Docusign using the new Docusign credentials. If you are already logged in to Docusign in another tab, click Accept for the Microsoft Consent token

I hope this helps. If you feel like my response is useful, we would greatly appreciate it if you would consider liking and marking it as "Best Answer" ✅, to help other community members find trusted answers. Have a great day!

Hello @Adrienne Connolly-Poe,

A warm welcome to the Docusign Community—great to have you here!

We understand you are seeking proactive method to ensure all Power Automate connections tied to a DocuSign profile are updated after a password change.

The recommended approach involves manually updating each connection with the new password. It would be easier to navigate to Connections section within Power Automate, find the connection that changed credentials for, and update them here.

The same can likely be done with the Custom Connector. This ensures that Power Automate can continue to authenticate and interact with DocuSign without interruption, preventing potential workflow failures or access issues that might arise from outdated credentials.

Let us know if you have more questions— we're always here for you!

Sincerely,

Thanks.

I’m also hoping someone out there might have experience with Custom Connectors to share any tips or gotchas, or have more steps/details documented after “and update them here. The same can likely be done with the Custom Connector.”
