Multiple signature templates in one user account

Question

Dear Community,we have the case that account holders want to send a document for signing that already contains the signature of the supervisor. However, this manager does not sign the document himself, but his signature is inserted into the document as an image file by his employees. This is the case for many simple standard processes. The manager would not have the time to sign every single one of these processes himself. Is it possible to store several signatures in the employee's account? One is the employee's own signature, i.e. the account holder, and the other is that of the employee's supervisor, which the employee can use if necessary? The document would then be sent to other parties involved.Many thanks in advance for your replies!Best regards,Katrin

​@KatrinYou cannot sign something in Docusign eSignature and pretend you are someone else. As Docusign eSignature enforcestransparency this would look strange in the history.If you sent the document to Katrin, but there will be a signature from someone else with your email address associated.In practise some customers embed the visual representation into the document to be signed before it gets uploaded into Docusign. This way the signature of the supervisor is already present on the document and it looks like it was signed by the person. However, this will not be in the history of the envelopemay not be considered a valid signature by some counterparties and maybe not hold up in case of disputes. Depending on your use case it may be sufficient to have the image of a signature in the document.

Hi ​@Katrin,Thank you for reaching out to the Docusign Community.Even though a single user can adopt multiple signatures (that don’t necessarily need to match their user name) it will depend on the sending account’s configuration set in “Settings>Signing Settings>Signature Adoption Configuration>Lock Recipient Name” whether or not they can use a signature that differs from the recipient name given to the recipient in the envelope.Another thing to consider, depending on the context in which a document signed using someone else’s name will be used, this might not be accepted as valid.
