Multiple Authentication Types

We currently force authentication and use SMS as our authentication type. If we add KBA as an option, are we able to default the authentication type to SMS and allow the user to manually change it to KBA?

No, a recipient cannot change the authentication settings and change the type manually.

Only the sender is able to set the required authentication type and DocuSign will require the recipient to authenticate via the chosen method. If you have enabled both in your account, the sender is able to set the desired authentication type when creating and sending an envelope. It can be defaulted using a template.

My “user” is the sender, but this answers my question. Thank you.
